Day 6: Make It Sacred Crafting Your Own Shabbat – A 6-Day Journey to Rest

You’ve spent the week making choices, listening inward, creating rhythm.

Now it’s time to prepare—not in a performative way, but in a gentle, intentional one.
Today is about setting yourself up to rest with ease. Creating a container for stillness.

Because sacred time doesn’t have to be dramatic. It just has to be deliberate.

Journal Prompt:
What do I need—mentally or physically—to feel ready to rest tomorrow?
What can I put in place now to help myself soften?

Ideas for Preparing Your Space:
– Lightly tidy one surface
– Choose what you’ll wear
– Set out a candle, journal, or playlist
– Put your phone on Do Not Disturb
– Close the tabs, both digital and mental

Ideas for Preparing Your Heart:
– Say your intention aloud
– Let people know you’ll be offline or unavailable
– Remind yourself: I don’t have to be productive to be worthy

Write your final Shabbat intention. Something simple. True. Grounding.

Examples:
“Let this time restore me.”
“I don’t have to earn rest.”
“This is sacred.”
“I am allowed to be still.”

Say it. Write it. Let it lead you into rest.

Tomorrow:
You don’t need to read. You don’t need to post.
You just need to live into what you’ve created.

Your Shabbat begins.
